Every year, the independent Great Place to Work® Institute uses benchmark studies to determine the best employers in a specific industry or region. The top-ranked companies are awarded the "Great Place to Work" seal of approval. 132 companies from the ITC industry and IT departments of companies outside the industry participated in the latest benchmark study. The study reviewed the quality and attractiveness of the workplace culture at the companies. The companies were divided into 5 different categories and were also subject to an independent review by the Great Place to Work® Institute.
The evaluation of the companies was based on anonymous employee surveys that addressed topics such as trust, respect, fairness, ability to identify with the employer, team spirit, professional development options, compensation, promotion of health and work-life balance. Experts from the Great Place to Work® Institute also performed "culture audits", which assess the culture within a company, as well as the quality of personnel work and leadership by the management. When evaluating an employer, the employee survey and the culture audit are weighted using a 2:1 ratio.
"We are very proud of having achieved such a good result the very first time around and we are especially grateful to our employees for the positive feedback," explains Volker Reichenbach, member of the Board of Directors at msg systems ag. "At the same time, the results motivate us to continue the development of our workplace culture, to enhance our attractiveness as an employer and thereby contribute to our sustainability," adds Herbert Wittemer, Head of Human Resources at msg systems ag.
"The award represents a workplace culture that is characterized by trust, pride and team spirit," states Andreas Schubert, managing director of the Great Place to Work® Institute Germany. "Trusting relationships in the workplace and attractive working conditions are key factors for instilling motivation and loyalty in qualified employees, not to mention for the economic success and sustainability of the company."
