Health marketplace “yuble”

Digital networking for efficient healthcare

Customer

AOK Plus serves approximately 3.4 million members in 130 offices in the German states of Saxony and Thuringia. AOK Plus is one of the first AOKs to tackle digitization and the consolidation of digital offerings, offering services such as online booking for health courses. AOK Plus implemented the “yuble” health marketplace project in collaboration with msg.

Challenge

The project to establish a digital position in the competitive market of statutory health insurance companies presented a number of challenges that had to be overcome. These included strengthening preventive measures, networking insured persons, service providers, and cost bearers, and optimizing processes by implementing fully digital end-to-end processes.

Objective

To address these challenges, the concept of the “health marketplace” was developed and introduced. This marketplace served as a central access point for insured persons (customers) and service providers (suppliers) across all relevant channels. Customers received individualized presentations of offers in the front end, while an integration platform in the back end served as the basis for data processing. This platform was connected to the (oscare) backend of the AOK as a service provider in order to carry out direct verification and approval of service requests as well as automated billing and payment to service providers.

Solution and benefits

The advantages for customers are manifold. Seamless experience is guaranteed thanks to design, development, implementation, and maintenance from a single source. In addition, the ecosystem approach is consistently used, enabling efficient use and further development. The implementation of end-to-end processes ensures smooth processing, while a broad partner network and a development partnership with AOK Systems offer additional opportunities and support. Information and course offerings are available on the Course Provider homepage (yuble-partner.de).
