Smart Country
Convention 2025

The administration of tomorrow

From September 30 to October 2, 2025, the Berlin Exhibition Grounds were once again the center of digital innovation in the public sector – and we were right in the middle of it with our booth. With more than 18,000 participants, 650 speakers, and 400 partners, this year's Smart Country Convention (SCCON) once again impressively demonstrated the momentum behind the digitalization of government, cities, and municipalities.

Our topics at the trade fair

At booth 317, we presented a varied program with live demos, ideas, and discussions about the administration of the future. The main topics included:

  • Digital identities and EUDI Wallet – a decisive step toward European digital identity management
  • msg.CodIQ – intelligent support in social administration (SGB)
  • msg.ThermIQ – sustainable heat maps for municipalities and cities
  • Robotic process automation (RPA), AI, and UX/UI design – practical insights into automation and user-centered design
  • Cloud spikes and VaaS – innovative solutions for future-proof IT infrastructures

A special highlight was the live recording of our podcast “Public Pulse” with Lena-Sophie Müller (CEO Initiative D21 e. V.) – soon to be available for listening.

Encounters and inspiration

In addition to the many technical discussions and demonstrations, the visit by Dörte Schall, Minister for Digital Affairs in Rhineland-Palatinate, was a highlight at our stand. We also took the opportunity to talk to numerous representatives from politics, administration, and business about the specific challenges and opportunities of digitalization.

But we were also present on stage: during the NEGZ session, our colleague Werner Achtert (Executive Business Consultant) discussed cloud-enabled applications and volumes on marketplaces with Ines Fiedler (]init[ AG) and Frank Beutell (Fitko), exploring the question of how the administration can achieve this goal.

The atmosphere was also great: with pretzels and beer at the end of the first day of the fair, our booth became a meeting place for informal exchanges.

Conclusion

The Smart Country Convention 2025 was a complete success for us – marked by inspiring encounters, exciting discussions, and valuable ideas for the digital transformation of public administration. We would like to thank all visitors, partners, and colleagues for three intensive days and are already looking forward to the next #SCCON!

“My conclusion from SCCON: RPA enables us to significantly reduce administrative processes – the technology has arrived and is making a difference.”
