Marble Imaging and msg Systems Announce Strategic Cooperation for Sovereign ISR Solutions
Bremen / Ismaning, September 21, 2026 – Marble Imaging GmbH and msg systems ag, Defense & Aerospace division, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strategic cooperation in the field of Multi-Source Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). The partnership aims to develop and provide innovative ISR solutions based on satellite-based Earth Observation, Artificial Intelligence, and Open Source Intelligence.
The collaboration combines the complementary strengths of both companies: While Marble Imaging develops Germany’s first commercially operated satellite constellation to deliver very high-resolution Earth Observation data and satellite-based information services, msg brings its long-standing expertise in AI validation, cybersecurity, Threat Intelligence, system integration, as well as development and operation of safety-critical information systems.
By bundling these competencies, Marble Imaging and msg aim to develop and provide innovative solutions for armed forces, authorities, operators of critical infrastructures, and customers in the defense industry. The focus lies on providing reliable, sovereign, and timely situation reports for security-relevant applications.
Both partners see the combination of satellite-based Earth Observation, artificial intelligence, and secure IT platforms as a significant building block for future European ISR capabilities. By signing the Memorandum of Understanding, both companies lay the foundation for long-term cooperation in developing innovative, trustworthy, and sovereign ISR solutions "Made in Europe".

Marble Imaging GmbH, headquartered in Bremen, develops AI-powered Earth Observation analytics for security and defense applications. Starting in the first quarter of 2027, the company will also launch the first very high-resolution satellite in Germany’s first commercially operated satellite constellation for optical reconnaissance.
