Hans Zehetmaier, chairman of the board of directors and co-founder of msg systems ag, accepted the Bavarian award for mid-sized companies for the fifth time now. The award was presented by Bavaria’s Secretary of Commerce, Ilse Aigner, at the Schleissheim Palace near Munich.
The Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology bestows the award each year in recognition of excellent growth in both revenue and employee figures. “msg systems ag is an extremely successful company,” Ilse Aigner explains. “By digitizing business processes, offering intelligent IT and industry solutions, as well as through comprehensive consulting, msg systems ag is making a decisive contribution to helping many companies in the Free State of Bavaria realize digitalization across a wide variety of industries, while also providing highly-skilled employment opportunities.”
The msg group grew its revenue yet again in 2016, recording the highest revenue development in the history of the company at 812 million euro. Annual revenue in 2015 was still just about 727 million euro. After experiencing above-average growth this last year, the company now aims to achieve even more significant revenue growth this year, with plans to increase its numbers by about 11 percent. They also plan on hiring around the same number of new employees as they did in 2016. In 2016, msg managed to hire more than 1,000 new employees at their global locations in a single year, despite the shortage of experts and trained staff the era of digitalization has created. 2017 saw msg being recognized as a “Great Place to Work” for the second time.
“We are very pleased to be among the winners of the ‘BAVARIA’S BEST 50’ award for the fifth time now,” Hans Zehetmaier commented. “We are very proud of the award. It confirms the success of our business strategy, which is based both on expertise in the latest technological innovations, as well as on industry experience rooted in more than 35 years of business.”
